Chapter 14 Minutes

IHCC 14 held its Annual meeting on Saturday April 21, 2018 at the Agr-Center showgrounds in Tulare CA.
We greeted and introduced all the members who attended the meeting at 8AM after our leadership staff cooked a country breakfast furnished by the chapter.
Roger Lubiens, President called the meeting to order and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Roger read the treasurers report that indicated $1736 in 2018 revenues with $ 5682.00 in bank funds.
The membership report indicated we have 202 active members, an increase of 14 since our October meeting. 35 members were born after 1960.
Foundation news includes two $1000 grants to Wheatland and Carpinteria were made this past February. We are viewing Paso Robles and Redlands FFA’s for possible Fall projects. Redlands needs a working tractor.
A report was given indicating both federal and state tax returns were e-filed during Feb. 2018 that ensures our tax exempt status.
- Discussed events that 19 members that attended the Red Power Roundup in Iowa last summer.
- Discussed the 2018 calendar of events that are upcoming including Red Power Roundup to be held mid-June in Alabama. Discussed upcoming events for Santa Margarita, Rio Linda, and beyond.
- Volunteers stepped forward to help with booth sales and dinner raffle tickets. John Armanino and Tim Neuharth along with Brent and Ceci Duxbury are assisting to promote our booth.
- Election was held for Board members and trustees of the Foundation. Newly appointed board members will be posted on website. Positions are needed for V Pres and Secretary.
Meeting was adjourned for members wanting to get ready for the parade event.
